KIU Family visited different areas of District Ghizer

As per directives of the worthy Vice Chancellor KIU, Dr. Memona Nilofar, Campus Director KIU Ghizer Campus alongwith Faculty and Management visited different areas of District Ghizer to deliver study materials to the students of KIU Main Campus and listen issues which faced by the students while pursuing their studies through blended learning system of KIU during this COVID-19 pandemic situation.  

The notables, students and their parents warmly welcomed to KIU teams and appreciated the efforts which made by VC KIU and management to cater the issues faced by the students. The Campus Director distributed flash drives containing soft learning/study materials to the students and while addressing with the students and their parents she assured that KIU will take all possible steps to make higher education accessible to the students at their doorstep through LMS, online/Blended education and facilitation centers in spite of the difficult circumstances of COVID-19.

Plantation Activity

KIU Ghizer Campus organized a “Plantation Activity” at KIU Ghizer Campus on 1 December 2018. Engr. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, VC KIU was the Chief Guest of the activity. Deputy Commissioner Ghizer, Heads of Government Departments of District Ghizer, Heads of NGOs working in District Ghizer, staff and students of KIU Ghizer Campus participated in the activity. All the dignitary guests planted trees during the activity.

Session on Volunteerism

A session on Volunteerism arranged by KIU Ghizer Campus in-collaboration with PRCS-GB for the student of KIU Ghizer Campus. Imran Khan Rana, AD PRCS briefed the participants about History of PRCS in Gilgit-Baltistan, working/key areas of disaster management such as disaster management planning, disaster preparedness and response, disaster risk reduction for saving lives, protecting livelihood and strengthening recovery from disasters. During the session he described the role of volunteers in PRCS work and also highlighted importance of volunteerism for students. After the session student fully acquainted about disaster management cycle and volunteerism.
