As per the Public Relations Department of KIU, Ghizer Campus, Usman Ali, a Business Administration student, clinched the second position in the 25th batch of the Allied Bank Limited, Management Trainee Officers Program. Additionally, he secured the top position in the Islamabad North Region.
Director Ghizer campus Dr. Shahab underscored the magnitude of this distinction for KIU, particularly the Ghizer Campus. Extending congratulations to Usman Ali, he hailed him as an exemplary figure for fellow students. KIU Ghizer Campus and Government Degree College Hatoon jointly hosted an event in honor of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). On October 6, 2023, a highly informative session on “Understanding China and Scholarship Opportunities in China” took place at KIU Ghizer Campus. The event was a remarkable opportunity for students and enthusiasts eager to explore the intricacies of China and the numerous scholarship possibilities it offers.
The distinguished expert Dr. Sajjad Haider, Director International Office at KIU shared extensive knowledge and insights about China, its culture, educational opportunities, and the scholarships available for Pakistani students to pursue their dreams in this dynamic nation.

The department of Business Management organized an event with the name of “let’s celebrate Diversity” to highlight the importance of accepting people of different backgrounds, beliefs and culture. Today in academic institutes and other organizations there are people of diverse backgrounds and for smooth working and success people need to make it a step towards success rather than mishandling this unique characteristic of today’s organizations.
A Breast Cancer Awareness Session was held on October 17, 2022 in collaboration with GINOR at KIU,GC. The session aimed to educate female students about the early detection of breast cancer in females and its possible treatments.
Dr. Asif Jailani, Director, GINOR gave a brief presentation on diagnosis, treatments and screening methods of breast cancer. The Session was attended by all the faculty, staff and students of KIU,GC, who greatly benefited from the session. A question answer session was held at the end of presentation.
Director KIU,GC appreciated the efforts ok GINOR team and thanked Dr.Asif Jailani, Director GINOR for creating awareness among the young women through his organizationShe emphasized on the importance of health and personal attention on the maintenance of health through personalized health, healthy life style plans, physical activities and nutrition to maintain a healthy quality of life. The session was concluded with a group photo.
Karakoram International University Ghizer Campus and Voice of GB held a program on June 8, 2022 to promote Patriotism-PAKISTAN, to eliminate inter sect warfare in GB and to give message of peace and unity to the youth and people of GB. This seminar was a huge success, students did speeches with extreme enthusiasm to express their love for Pakistan and strong desire of unity.
Ghief Guest Inspector General Police Gilgit Baltistan Muhammad Saeed Wazir and VC Prof Eng. Dr. Attaullah Shah addressed to the guests and faculty and students. Other distinguished guests president of Shuhdae Ghizr Syed Ghulam Shah and Ex Miister Fiazullah Faqir did very enthusiastic speech. District Commissioner Capt. (R) Sami Tayyeb Khan and SP Sha Mir inspired our students and were with us throughout the program.
Students made speeches on peace, unity, interfaith respect, nationhood and patriotism, sang national songs, presented skit and dance. Students from other schools also participated.
Director Campus Dr. Memoona Nilofer welcome the guests, her dedication and motivation for this event is commendable. Deputy Director Students Affairs Dr. Mumtaz provided all the possible support and supervision to make this program a success.

Pakistan Red Crescent Gilgit-Baltistan has organized a day long workshop on Covid-19 vaccination uptake and reducing misconceptions at the Karakorum International University Ghizer Campus.
The speakers urged the participants to play their role in raising awareness among the masses to get vaccinated.
Dr. Memona Nelofer, Director KIU Ghizer Campus, Dr. Irfan, Moulana Habib Ullah, Naeem Akhtar Rana, PRCS GB Secretary Imran Rana, Communications Manager Safdar Ali Safdar and others addressed to the workshop.
It was such a tremendous moment to see the students of BBA-III and BBA-V conducted a wonderful Business Gala at KIU Ghizer Campus. Almost 35 students participated in the Business gala arranged on Tuesday Dated: 15th March 2022. They did not want to earn any money by participating in the Business Gala. It was part of their studies to get a professional experience and approach to their future.Such events motivate students to enhance market research skills, customer handling, face to face dealing, communication skills and customer service etc.
One of the major features of the gala was the “Idea Marketing Competition” in which students of BBA-III and BBA-V were tasked to come up with creative ideas to promote and highlight local products and services for business development.
The Director for KIU Ghizer Campus, Dr. Mamoon Nilofar, while speaking to the students on the occasion, said: “She appreciated the students and teachers for conducting such a wonderful event and also advised the student “Don’t keep your wealth, knowledge and skills to yourself. The best marketing tip is to share them with others and God will help you multiply the wealth and knowledge.”
The Head of Business Management Department for KIU Ghizer Campus, Dr. Shahab Uddin, while speaking on the occasion, said the initiative of “Idea for Business Gala” was impressive and worth appreciating. However, he said such ideas were of no use, unless they were followed in practically. He said when one good idea was implemented and followed, others rushed to follow suit and adopt it.
Similarly, many other faculties had appreciated this event and advised to conduct such events in the future. Lecturer Shahzadi, paid special thanks and gratitude to all senior management and faculties for encouraging her students and, said the event was a blend of theoretical learning and practical experience of business, management, marketing and entrepreneurial skills.
