Inter Departmental Volleyball competition

“Inter Departmental Volleyball competition was held at KIU Ghizer Campus during 26-29 May 2021. All three departments participated in the competition and the final match was played between the Department of Management Sciences and Department of Educational Development. Engr. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, VC KIU graced the occasion as Chief Guest. After a very sensational and exciting competition, the Department of Business Management team won the Volleyball competition and the Department of Educational Development team stood as a runner up.  

The Chief Guest, worthy VC KIU Engr. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah gave away the cups and cash prizes to the winner/ runner up of competition and congratulated the winning team on success. While addressing the occasion, the Chief Guest said that arranging such kind activities for students will obviously help students to showcase their talent and efforts. He further elaborated that through such Sports competitions, students will learn the basics of sports, be physically active, and also help students to build self-esteem, confidence and excel academically.”

QEC Team Visited KIU Ghizer Campus

Self Assessments Reviews (SAR’s) of all three running Degree programs have successfully concluded through External and internal peer evaluators at KIU Ghizer Campus on 18 June 2021. Dr. Abdul Razzaq, Director QEC/Chief Coordinator KIU Sub Campuses, Dr. Moazzam Nizami, Director QEC Hazara University, Dr. Imranullah Marwat, Director QA, HED, KPK, Dr. Sajjad, HoD Chemistry KIU alongwith KIU QEC team visited KIU Ghizer Campus for the review.Dr. Memoona Nilofar, Focal Person/A. Director Campus formally welcomed all the guests and also gave a brief presentation to the evaluators regarding academic activities, campus progress, developments and future plans. Afterwards the evaluators checked/reviewed all SAR’s one by one, visited class rooms, labs, library and also met with faculty and students.The QEC peer review team shows their satisfaction on SAR’s of Degree programs running at KIU Ghizer Campus and also appreciated Campus management for provision of Quality education within limited available resources to the students in this far-flung area of Gilgit-Baltistan.

    Welcome Party For BBA 1st Semester

    A welcome party was arranged by BBA 6 Semester, students of Business Administration, for the new batch of BBA 1st semester 2020-2024 on 26th Nov. 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Shahabuddin, Head of Department Business Administration. In this event all Faculty, Staff, Heads, Directors, Students of Business administration and Cr’s of other departments were invited. Students displayed their cultural dance and juniors shared their expectations and experience. Furthermore Honorable Director beautifully delivered the goals and objectives of KIU Ghizer campus and her expectations from the students and whole KIU Team. This new batch is lucky enough that they got a welcome party from their generous seniors because such an event happened for the first time ever in KIU Ghizer campus history…. We expect that our seniors will surely have a lovely and memorable farewell… when they will graduate

    Admission interviews for Fall 2020

    Alhamdulillah, Admission interviews for Fall 2020 intake in three existing departments of KIU Ghizer Campus successfully conducted in three cohorts during 28-30 September 2020. While conducting admission interviews, all precautionary measurements for COVID-19 pandemics devised by KIU/HEC/Government of Pakistan have strictly been taken/ followed for safety of all. Approximately 110 applicants have secured their admissions in 5 degree programs of existing three departments.

    Distributed cheques of Ehsaas Scholarship Programme

    The worthy VC KIU Engr. Prof Dr. Attaullah Shah distributed cheques of Ehsaas Scholarship Programme among undergraduate students of three departments at KIU Ghizer Campus. Chief Coordinator KIU Sub-Campuses, Director Works KIU, Campus Director KIU Ghizer Campus, Faculty, Management and students were present on the occasion.
    While speaking in the ceremony, the worthy VC KIU highlighted that the basic aim of this program is to support and encourage underprivileged students who are studying in various programmes and unable to pay their fees. He further added that the Ehsaas Scholarship Programme not only help the poor and needy students to complete their education but would also help to eradicate poverty. He asked the beneficiary students to focus on their education and extracurricular activities to achieved their targets.

    The VC Karakorum International University Gilgit Baltistan Engr. Prof. Dr. Attullah Shah has officially inaugurated the KIU Ghizer Campus and International conference website online today simultaneously. The online ceremony were joined by the VC from Liaison office Islamabad along with Dr. Ifzal, Mr. Ilyas and Mr. Rehmat Karim. From main campus Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmad, Dr. Hameed lone, Mr. Nabi Ullah, Mr. Mehboob Hussain, Mr. Ashraf and Mr. Nazaqat joined the ceremony and from Ghizer Campus Dr. Sabit Rahim along with his team.

    The VC, Dr. Khalil Ahamd and Dr. Hameed lone appreciated the efforts of KIU Ghizer Campus Team.

    The VC and other respected participants suggested improvements to the website. Campus Director Dr. Sabit Rahim thanks to all the respected participants and assured firm commitment to strength the KIU Ghizer Campus as per laid-down vision of KIU.

    Chinese Language Classes

    Chinese Language Classes started at KIU Ghizer Campus. Vice Chancer KIU Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah along with Dean SS&H Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan and Director IPD Mr. Muhammad Ilyas participated besides staff and Director Campus Dr.Sabit Rahim. More than 50 students have been registered in one month intensive Chinese Language course HSK1. In the opening ceremony, Dr Sabit Rahim welcome vice chancellor and others at the campus and shared with them various initiatives undertaken by the campus. Dr. Ramzan appreciated the focused approach of vice chancellor on the targets and his vision which could lead to visible improvement in the KIU main campus and sub campuses. He shared with the audience that VC after assuming his office focused on initiating classes in Diamer and Chilas Campuses. The foundation ceremony of Engineering Faculty last day by CM GB is a hallmark achievement for KIU as it will pave way for high quality Engineering and technology Education in the region.
